The premise of this novel had me hooked immediately–the world encased in a mysterious membrane, time slowed to a crawl inside it. However, there was much more to this story than the idea–the characters were intriguing and complex, weaving in and out of each others’ lives as the story unfolds over a timespan of decades. Highly recommended for SF lovers!
