One of those books that made me stay up reading until 2 a.m….they’re few and far between these days! The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is that something happened that really made me angry, and I’m not certain it was necessary for the story. Yes, that’s the author’s call, and I have to bow to it, but I don’t have to like it. And it did not make me angry enough to stop reading either the book or the series.
Anyway, if you like zombie apocalypse stories (or more correctly, after-the-apocalypse), a zombie-making mechanism that’s scarily within the realm of believability, intriguing characters and a great plot, this book is for you! I already bought and started reading the next in the series. Sorry, TBR pile, you’ve all been pre-empted.
